Justice Lab
The Justice Lab’s work was initiated by the Legal Education Foundation in 2018 following an expert review that identified the need for better use of data and research in the justice system. The initiative was created and led until 2023 by Dr Natalie Byrom. It played a significant role in helping to develop a digital strategy for HM Courts & Tribunal Service, a publicly accessible repository of court judgements at the National Archives and a permanent Data Governance Panel in the Ministry of Justice.
This site holds the archive of resources produced by the Justice Lab between 2018 and 2023.
