This report presents Apteligen’s approach; reflections and learnings for supporting three not for profit organisations and provides valuable lessons for funders; not for profits and data practitioners on how to support organisations on their data journeys.

Justice Lab commissioned the Centre for Justice Innovation (in partnership with Russell Webster) to produce a briefing paper exploring the current systems for recording victim data within the criminal justice system.

In January 2023, Justice Lab brought together organisations from across the sector to discuss the challenges of collecting, using and sharing victims’ data. This note summarises key issues and makes recommendations to ensure victims’ interests and needs are prioritised effectively in future legislation.

In 2022, Justice Lab, a special initiative of The Legal Education Foundation commissioned Ipsos UK to carry out public attitudes research and a public deliberation exercise about the commercial use of data in court records, and particularly bulk access to court judgments. This evaluation examines the effectiveness of this project, to understand how to fill gaps in existing research and identify lessons to be learned for similar exercises in the future.
